According to Web MD, Yogurts come from pure Milk either Goat or Cow meaning you would be getting a dose of the normal animal protein and other nutrients found in dairy foods like calcium, Vitamins B-2, B-12, Potassium and Magnesium.

It has so many healthy benefits, I would just do a rundown of what is important for this write up. You would take note of the use of MAY, because everything depends . on the body type. 1- One factor that I like is that they tend to make one heavy, which means that it reduces hunger and tendencies to eat a lot after taking it. Whether combined with fruit or not, plain Yogurt is a good food substitute when you get constantly hungry for snacks or Ice-cream.

2- Non-Fat Yogurt or some low fat Yogurt may reduce high blood pressure and reduce the risk of getting high blood pressure.

3- It may help with constipation and is one of the natural products to the healing of Ulcer, this I am a testimony to. In fact, during a MILD Ulcer pain, when unsweetened plain Yogurt is taken, it goes to the wall of the intestine and the bacteria in Yogurt works on the injury that causes the pain.

4- Yogurts are also very good anti-virus and anti-bacteria for infections on the Skin and for Vagina yeast infections.

5- The good bacteria in Yogurts are called PROBIOTICS meaning for life, which tries to explain that it contains organisms that have healthy benefits. The bacteria in Yogurts are good for the digestive track.

6- Another thing I would like to add is that when buying your Yogurts always look at the labels. For everything I buy myself, I always do a label check because I know it’s not easy esp in Nigeria to do a 100percent healthy Ingredient option but I try to be as close as possible. So when buying Yogurts ignore the ones with additional things like additives, sweeteners or flavors, chemicals etc.

7- Go for the plain ones like I do and blend with fruits to sweeten, or if you want to buy fruit Yogurts which I do sometimes also, make sure to check out for no sugars or additional flavors and sweeteners. Let it be an all-natural fruit combination. They are out there in our supermarkets we just have to do a little pause and read.

8- Another go to for plain Yogurts if you really want to be a Yogurt person and family, in Nigeria the Hausas make Yogurts a lot, you get naturally made plain Yogurt from places like Habib Yogurt and Fura which is all over the country and other places where natural Yogurts are made, you can just do a little by asking around. Another alternative is to make it yourself, if you don’t find it much of a work you can make it in your house. I would soon be sharing the recipe for homemade Yogurt especially from the plant called Soya beans. Yes we do still have plant Yogurts apart from animal Yogurts.

Yogurts are also healthy substitutes for some baking recipes. I have personally used Yogurts for recipes like Cakes and Glazes and some food recipes. They can represent your Eggs, Creams and also Cheese can be extracted from Yogurts to make certain recipes that need the addition of Cheese or Curd.

But like every other natural food it still has it's side effects if taken too much. Yogurt is still Milk even though fermented, its still a bit fatty and has calories. It helps to reduce weight yes because of how it reduces how hungry one gets, but if eaten too much with other meals too, tends to give more weight to the body Instead of reducing it.

When I discovered Natural Yogurts and found out that not only is it yummy, I could do a lot with it and if taken with moderate eating of other meals and nutrients it could be a full part of my every day diet, I haven’t turned back since then. Why not try it out today.
