BADAMIA HONEY BANANA-COCONUT FRITTERS OR BALLS WITH STRAWBERRY HONEY SYRUP

I MADE THIS SNACK FOR AN ORPHANAGE I VOLUNTEER AT CALLED BADAMIA HOME, I USUALLY CALL EVERY TREAT I TAKE THERE A "BADAMIA SPECIAL" BECAUSE I PUT EVERY OUNCE OF ME WHEN I AM BAKING OR COOKING FOR THEM.

I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE I WAS HEADING TO WITH THIS RECIPE TILL THE FIRST BITE WAS EATEN,THEN I DISCOVERED I HAD JUST MADE A LYDIA'SMOMENTS SIGNATURE TREAT FOR THESE BOYS...IT WAS LITERALLY A MOMENT IN MY HEAD BRINGING OUT AN IDEA...

IT WAS A HIT AND THERE WAS NONE REMAINING FOR EXTRA...IN FACT THANK GOD I TOOK THE PHOTO EARLIER BEFORE PRESENTING IT,,,I WOULD HAVE CRIED MY EYES OUT, LOLZZZ...



SO THE RECIPE IS EASY AND YOU CAN WOW YOUR GUESTS WITH A HEALTHY TWIST TO SMALL CHOPS.

FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN EDGE. THE FLOUR CAN BE SUBSTITUTED WITH WHEAT FLOUR, ALMOND FLOUR OR COCONUT FLOUR BUT NOTTTT... OAT MEAL FLOUR. TRIED IT AND IT DIDN'T GO WELL, BUT I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE THAT OUT ANY WAY...VANILLA ESSENCE OR FLAVOR CAN BE ADDED TO THE BATTER.

I WANT TO SPECIFY, IF YOU HAVE TO FRY FOR THINGS LIKE THIS RECIPE MAKE SURE YOU USE A NO CHOLESTEROL VEGETABLE OIL OR PLANT OIL ...I HARDLY FRY MY BAKING BUT IF I HAVE TO, MY OIL MUST BE 100 PERCENT NO CHOLESTEROL OIL OR A PLANT OIL... SO CHECK OUT THE FULL RECIPE BELOW...

INGREDIENTS - 2 CUPS OF FLOUR - 2 MEDIUM OVER RIPE BANANAS - 1 TABLE SPOON OF HONEY - 1 CUP GRATED COCONUT - WATER - STRAWBERRY SYRUP OR FLAVOR(THE ORGANIC BRAND IS MORE PREFERABLE) - ½ TEASPOON OF SALT - ½ TEASPOON OF BAKING POWDER - NO CHOLESTEROL OIL OR PLANT OIL,AND SOME FOR FRYING AND A TABLESPOON FOR THE BATTER

PREP

- IN A BOWL MASH THE 2 BANANAS, DON’T BLEND THEM JUST MASH THEM WITH A SPOON OR FORK, TILL THEY BECOME TOTALLY SMASHED.

- POUR IN YOUR FLOUR IN A BOWL ADD SALT, BAKING POWDER AND GRATED COCONUT,THEN MIX TOGETHER.

- POUR IN YOUR MASHED BANANAS,HONEY,OIL AND WATER(WATER SHOULD BE ADDED GRADUALLY DURING MIXTURE).

- MIX TILL SMOOTH AND THE BATTER IS NOT TOO LIGHT BUT SLIGHTLY THICK AND FLUFFY.

- HEAT UP YOUR NO CHOLESTEROL OIL, I USUALLY ADVICE DEEP FRYING FOR THINGS LIKE THIS, MEANING THE OIL SHOULD BE MUCH FOR THE BALLS TO FLOAT.

- MAKE SURE ON HIGH HEAT, YOUR OIL IS VERY HOT, SO AS TO PREVENT YOUR BATTER FROM SOAKING OIL.

- WITH A TABLE SPOON TAKE YOUR BATTER ACCORDING TO THE TABLE SPOON AND PUT INTO THE OIL ONE AFTER ANOTHER, CREATE SPACE IN BETWEEN EACH OF THEM.

- THEN LOWER THE HEAT TO MEDIUM.

- WHEN THE BATTER STARTS TO FORM INTO BALLS AND BEGINS TO FLOAT WITH THE BACK TURNING BROWN, THEN YOU KNOW ITS TIME TO FLIP TO THE THE SIDE.

- AFTER FLIPPING IT INCREASE THE HEAT, WHEN ALL SIDES ARE EQUALLY BROWN, REMOVE THE BALLS FROM THE OIL INTO A SIEVE WITH A BOWL UNDER.

- REPEAT THE SAME FOR THE NEXT BATCH AND YOUR FRITTERS ARE READY…

STRAWBERRY HONEY SYRUP(OPTIONAL)

- STRAWBERRY FLAVOR OR SYRUP(IF YOU CAN FIND THE ORGANIC BRAND, BETTER).

- HONEY ACCORDING TO YOUR PREFERENCE, BUT MAKE SURE THE HONEY IS MORE THAN THE SYRUP

- MIX TOGETHER THOROUGHLY OR USE A BLENDER

SPRINKLE THE STRAWBERRY HONEY DIP ON THE FRITTERS, OR RATHER ENJOY YOUR FRITTERS ALONE WITH A GOOD AND HEALTHY BEVERAGE OR EVEN WITH WATER…LOLZZZ .
